Another case of Obama's ignore-it-and-it-will-go-away attitude. People have asked a lot of questions about his administration and he has determinedly ignored them. Congress will now look into Obama's signature 814 billion boondoggle, and I hope we Americans can get some "pay back".
The Obama White House won’t be sending a witness to defend the economic-stimulus package before a House Oversight Committee panel Wednesday.
The committee is holding a hearing on the impact of the stimulus package, which President Barack Obama signed almost two years ago. Testimony will come from a lineup of conservative economists, plus Josh Bivens of the left-leaning Economic Policy Institute, who was picked by committee Democrats.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R., Ohio), who is running the hearing, had asked Jared Bernstein and Christina Romer, who played major roles in preparing the package to testify or suggest another witness to represent the White House. Both declined.
Officials volunteered to send witnesses from the Transportation and Commerce departments but the offers were turned down.

Who would have guessed that our country would come to a point where a Congress of representatives could Deem a Nonexistent Budget Bill PASSED, as our congress did on Thursday of this week.
Last night, as part of a procedural vote on the emergency war supplemental bill, House Democrats attached a document that "deemed as passed" a non-existent $1.12 trillion budget. The execution of the "deeming" document allows Democrats to start spending money for Fiscal Year 2011 without the pesky constraints of a budget. The procedural vote passed 215-210 with no Republicans voting in favor and 38 Democrats crossing the aisle to vote against deeming the faux budget resolution passed. Never before -- since the creation of the Congressional budget process -- has the House failed to pass a budget, failed to propose a budget then deemed the non-existent budget as passed as a means to avoid a direct, recorded vote on a budget, but still allow Congress to spend taxpayer money.
Hat tip Newsbusters. Don't be fooled by the 38 Democrats who crossed the aisle to vote against this. They are the ones Pelosi gave permission to, so they would have political cover during the upcoming elections. Democrats have sold out our country and our Constitution all this past year. If she had needed their votes for this bill or others, she would have had them. We must remember in November. The Constitution says that members of congress are supposed to vote yes or no on each bill and those votes are recorded. You can't bang a gavel and deem something passed. This is Treason. And there will be more. I expect that the lame duck session after November will be one for the history books. Alexander Hamilton said that there are two ways to bring a country to its knees. Conquering by force, or through debt. May God help us as we fight for our country and our future.
So, to hell with you crooks, you Constitutional criminals. And that's precisely what you are, now.
They have no right to feel outraged, these Democrats, after having spent weeks and months fueling outrage across America with the corrupt back room deals, their reconciliation plans and slippery bookkeeping, coupled with an absolute refusal to take the voice of the people into account in passing vile, un-American legislation America doesn't want. Shame on them. Shame!
And now, what? These malignant little tyrants want to play the victim? After victimizing America with their pathetic antics, their corrupt practices, all to push a destructive ideology America has long rejected? The Democrats are the real criminals here. They have torn the fabric of America with a repulsive world view they now hope to thrust upon the American people, whether we like it, or not.
