Signing Away Sovereignty--American Thinker

Oh no. I thought, I hoped, that when Obama canceled plans to go to Copenhagen to sign away American sovereignty in a global warming treaty, that was the end of it. You mean to tell me it's not? There are more "plans" in the works? Somebody bring me some smelling salts.

Americans concerned about the decline of American power under the presidency of Barack Obama should turn their radar on and keep it on. We should be aware that Obama intends to roll out for Senate approval a series of international treaties that will further bind America to the will of the international community if they are ratified.

Bit by bit, America's autonomous power is being taken away. The Boston Globe provides a public relations gloss by calling these treaties a means of fulfilling "Obama's vision of global cooperation." This is one view, I suppose. Another view would be that our policies will be tied down by these treaties -- and we will be judged by international bureaucrats and held to their interpretation of what our obligations are under the treaties....

International treaties require only Senate approval. The "People's House" has no say and no sway. While Obama's treaty agenda may be challenging, it is not insurmountable, especially when the full court press begins with the media, activist groups, and others in the Obama "we are the world" perspective; they never come up for approval in the House of Representatives.

Obama will begin with treaties designed to achieve his vision of a world without nuclear weapons. But that is just the beginning. Efforts will begin to bind America to the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea (setting guidelines for countries' use of the world's oceans, including economic activities and the protection of maritime resources). This will hurt our nation's ability to mine the world's seas for oil and gas, and other resources.

Instead of capitalizing on America's technological strength in these areas (some of it created with our dollars) to tap these resources for our benefit, America will be subject to the dictates of U.N. bureaucrats regarding how these resources can be developed.

Our national security and economic security depends on our access to strategic raw materials, and we will face overseers in the form of U.N.-style bureaucrats. We know how friendly they are to America.

But wait, there's more: treaties subjecting us to the desires of climate change advocates will follow. There was a reason Bill Clinton signed the Kyoto Protocol but never dared to submit it to the Senate for approval. He knew it would fail. But that was then; this is now.

Gun control treaties, perhaps under the guise of small arms trade treaties, will certainly be in Obama's queue.

Once in place, treaties will lock America in. They are rarely broken, and countries, including America, rarely withdraw from them. Even if America later were able to withdraw from treaties,permanent harm already will have occurred.

Expect Obama and his minions to attempt to Rahm through these types of treaties in the Senate.

These international treaties will have domestic consequences that could be massive. But we should know by now that radical change in America is what Barack Obama desires the most. If he can get the world community on his side, he will be that much closer to his, and their own, goals.

Abdullah Baali, the Ambassador to the United States from Algeria and a former U.N. official, is of the opinion that "it is absolutely essential that the U.S. ratify these treaties." That should be a warning flag for Americans. President Obama wants to outsource our policy to the international community, refuses to use our strength and talent to protect the American interest, and is determined to weaken America in the years ahead.

Obama clearly sees American power, in and of itself, as evil. We have seen this attitude displayed in his countless apologies for so called American transgressions over the years before the Obama Presidency. Obama is trying to force America into an unprecedented, massive makeover to please the international bureaucrats whose approval and acclaim he so desperately craves.

Obama does not view Uncle Sam as symbolizing America (especially the Uncle Sam that is accompanied by exhortations to defend our country); rather he views Gulliver as the ideal symbol of our nation: a giant who blunders about, causing harm and damage, and who must be restrained by the Lilliputians of the world.

We should know by now that our Academic in Chief wants to pass the global test made famous by Senator John Kerry (now the head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, alternative Secretary of State, and the man who will shepherd these treaties through the Senate).

Having won the highest office in the land by saying things that pleased the necessary groups, now he has set off to please the so-called international community -- and particularly those foreign leaders who disdain America and what we represent.

No wonder he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize: the far-left wing Norwegian judges gave him a nice pat on his head for passing their test with flying colors -- albeit not the red, white and blue ones. More here.

Will Obama Give Away U S Sovereignty?

Lord Christopher Monckton warns the US:
At [the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in] Copenhagen, this December, weeks away, a treaty will be signed. Your president will sign it. Most of the third world countries will sign it, because they think they’re going to get money out of it. Most of the left-wing regime from the European Union will rubber stamp it. Virtually nobody won’t sign it.

I read that treaty. And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created. The word “government” actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third world countries, in satisfication of what is called, coyly, “climate debt” – because we’ve been burning CO2 and they haven’t. We’ve been screwing up the climate and they haven’t. And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement.

How many of you think that the word “election” or “democracy” or “vote” or “ballot” occurs anywhere in the 200 pages of that treaty? Quite right, it doesn’t appear once. So, at last, the communists who piled out of the Berlin Wall and into the environmental movement, who took over Greenpeace so that my friends who funded it left within a year, because [the communists] captured it – Now the apotheosis as at hand. They are about to impose a communist world government on the world. You have a president who has very strong sympathies with that point of view. He’s going to sign it. He’ll sign anything. He’s a Nobel Peace Prize [winner]; of course he’ll sign it.

[laughter]

And the trouble is this; if that treaty is signed, if your Constitution says that it takes precedence over your Constitution (sic), and you can’t resign from that treaty unless you get agreement from all the other state parties – And because you’ll be the biggest paying country, they’re not going to let you out of it.

So, thank you, America. You were the beacon of freedom to the world. It is a privilege merely to stand on this soil of freedom while it is still free. But, in the next few weeks, unless you stop it, your president will sign your freedom, your democracy, and your humanity away forever. And neither you nor any subsequent government you may elect will have any power whatsoever to take it back. That is how serious it is. I’ve read the treaty. I’ve seen this stuff about [world] government and climate debt and enforcement. They are going to do this to you whether you like it or not....

Skimming through the treaty, I came across verification of Monckton’s assessment of the new entity’s purpose:
38. The scheme for the new institutional arrangement under the Convention will be based on three basic pillars: government; facilitative mechanism; and financial mechanism, and the basic organization of which will include the following:

World Government (heading added)
(a) The government will be ruled by the COP with the support of a new subsidiary body on adaptation, and of an Executive Board responsible for the management of the new funds and the related facilitative processes and bodies. The current Convention secretariat will operate as such, as appropriate.

To Redistribute Wealth (heading added)
b) The Convention’s financial mechanism will include a multilateral climate change fund including five windows: (a) an Adaptation window, (b) a Compensation window, to address loss and damage from climate change impacts [read: the "climate debt" Monckton refers to], including insurance, rehabilitation and compensatory components, © a Technology window; (d) a Mitigation window; and (e) a REDD window, to support a multi-phases process for positive forest incentives relating to REDD actions.

With Enforcement Authority (heading added)
© The Convention’s facilitative mechanism will include: (a) work programmes for adaptation and mitigation; (b) a long-term REDD process; © a short-term technology action plan; (d) an expert group on adaptation established by the subsidiary body on adaptation, and expert groups on mitigation, technologies and on monitoring, reporting and verification; and (e) an international registry for the monitoring, reporting and verification of compliance of emission reduction commitments, and the transfer of technical and financial resources from developed countries to developing countries. The secretariat will provide technical and administrative support, including a new centre for information exchange [read; enforcement].

What Americans truly need to understand in the face of this potential treaty is this:

When the American Revolution occurred, the former colonists wrested the sovereignty of King George III from him, when they drove out the British troops and set up the American Republic.

While not taught in schools, since civics is an unknown subject for most Americans, Americans took on the sovereignty of George III, making every American a sovereign under the common law. In other words, personal sovereignty goes as far as each American’s interest exist in protecting self and family, but not in infringing upon a neighbor who has his or her own sovereignty.

An important principle to always remember is this: Once a person is sovereign, he/she is always sovereign — unless it is volunteered away, by ignorance.

Bottom Line:

Elected officials, while acting as agents for the principals, who are the American people, do not have agency status to transfer sovereignty of their principals to another government, regardless of the language in the Constitution. Remember, the U.S. Constitution was to bind the government, not the American people.

The sovereign American people are higher than the U.S. Constitution. Only government officials who provide an oath or affirmation to support and defend the Constitution come under the criteria of such a document.

So when “Lord” Obama thinks he may transfer the sovereignty of the United States to some foreign government, such an act being a treasonous offense, he does not give away the sovereignty of the American people at large, one whit.

If Obama does sign the treaty, the American people need to call for his impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors. Treason defined is waging war against the several states, i.e. “them” (Constitution, Article III, Sect. 3, Clause 1).

The American people constitute “the state in fact” (case cite omitted), so when an act inimical to their best interests, as will be by the signing of a treaty which purportedly subjugates the jurisdiction of the United States under some foreign body, the signer is waging war against the sovereigns. The sovereign Americans need to act to remove the usurper by the means constituted, since such an act of treason cannot be tolerated.

And if the elected officials do not do the peoples’ will, preferring instead to support a fascist state of corporatism (as described by Benito Mussolini), the American people need to fully understand the extended treasonous acts of Congress, and deal with them accordingly.

The spirit of the American Revolution lives on. It is the right pursuant of the Declaration of Independence for Americans to throw off a government which acts contrary to the will of their principals. This understanding includes regaining the lawful currency control, now under the unlawful hands of the Federal Reserve.

The Alinsky model is going ahead full bore. I have no doubt the Statists are trying to overwhelm us with their activities, so some of them slip through the cracks. I know we are weary from the fight against Obamacare. This issue also seems pressing and important to me. Am I wrong?

Resignation or Impeachment

The Constitution, a document president obama has apparently not familiarized himself with, as it is the guiding light for America, is being turned down, as if on a dimmer switch, by B. Hussein Obama. Yes, the president of the united States of America has worked around the Constitution, defied the Constitution and flat out chosen to challenge Congress and the American people by being a criminal. The fifth amendment to the Constitution states: No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. Please pay particular attention to the phrase, “nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation”.

B. Hussein Obama and his minions dictated the government settlement of two publicly held companies, General Motors and Chrysler, in their government controlled bankruptcy. After firing the head of a publicly held company, GM and replacing him with someone else, the obama administration dictated that shareholders would only receive twenty eight cents on the dollar, for their investment, despite being secured lien holders. This action is in direct violation of established bankruptcy law and practice. B. Hussein Obama’s actions have also violated the due process portion of the fifth amendment to the Constitution. The United Auto Workers union was told it would receive .68 cents on the dollar from the taxpayers, not because they had invested a dime in the companies, but because obama owed them a favor for their support presidential candidacy. According to the terms of the bankruptcy as set by obama, .68 cents per dollar of what would normally belong to investors is going to an entity that invested ZERO, a clear violation of the terms of the 5th Amendment, under the due process clause as well as the just compensation clause. This action, in and of itself is impeachable. B. Hussein Obama committed strong arm robbery when they took money from the rightful creditors and gave it to the UAW, which had no claim to it.

The top officials in all three branches of the government, judicial, congressional and most importantly executive were aware of this, in fact, the state run media, that never reports anything negative was all over covering the messiahs saving of the auto industry. President Nixon resigned under threat of impeachment for knowledge and cover-up of a politically motivated break in. President Clinton was impeached for lying to a jury about an affair. Both of these incidents with other Presidents pale in comparison to president obama taking money from investors and giving it to his union cronies, through the judiciary branch of government. President obama should be in jail and impeached for his actions, but it doesn’t stop there.

B. Hussein Obama has clearly broken the law, regarding the materials sent to schools, for his speech on September 8th, 2009. The instruction of what to do and how to do it is also in violation of this code:

20 U.S.C. § 3403. (Pub.L. 96-88, Title I, § 103, Oct. 17, 1979, 93 Stat. 670) United States Code Title 20. Education Chapter 48. Department of Education Subchapter I. General Provisions § 3403. Relationship with States (a) Rights of local governments and educational institutions It is the intention of the Congress in the establishment of the Department to protect the rights of State and local governments and public and private educational institutions in the areas of educational policies and administration of programs and to strengthen and improve the control of such governments and institutions over their own educational programs and policies. The establishment of the Department of Education shall not increase the authority of the Federal Government over education or diminish the responsibility for education which is reserved to the States and the local school systems and other instrumentalities of the States. (b) Curriculum, administration, and personnel; library resources No provision of a program administered by the Secretary or by any other officer of the Department shall be construed to authorize the Secretary or any such officer to exercise any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system, over any accrediting agency or association, or over the selection or content of library resources, textbooks, or other instructional materials by any educational institution or school system, except to the extent authorized by law.

Given that ignorance serves as no excuse for breaking the law, combined with the fact that obama is an attorney, and if you hear him tell it, a Constitutional attorney, he has no excuse for his actions. Like any criminal, B. Hussein Obama, should be held accountable for his actions.

Mr. president, to maintain the dignity of the position you hold, to maintain the character, dignity and to keep America as the shining beacon of hope on the hill, it is imperative that you resign your position immediately. You are a criminal, if we are to judge you by your actions.

Congress, it is imperative that should B. Hussein Obama not resign his position as President of the united States of America immediately, that he be impeached for his criminality. If you fail to file articles of impeachment against B. Hussein Obama, you will guilty of violating your oath of office, that clearly states that you will defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. While it is not clear if obama falls under the “foreign” or “domestic” portion of your oath, it is clear that he is an enemy, who has committed crimes that must be adjudicated by Congress.

Thank you, in advance, for your honor, in adhering to the Constitution of the united States of America and performing the duties you have been elected to perform. I understand, that for most of you (Pelosi, Rangel, Reid, et. Al.) this is uncharted territory. Do not let that scare you, for you must do your duty or you too will be conspiratorially related to these crimes. And, lets face it, most of you are in on the price fixing and bankruptcy corruption issue.
