Lieberman Has A Backbone, You Must Admit

And I mean a really strong one. Like Bachmann or Palin. He can stand up and take heat if necessary. And that is why I like him. I may not always agree with him. But I have to hand it to anyone, especially in today's political climate, who can stand up to everybody and stand by his principles.

Indeed, at HuffPo, some of the commenters there are foaming at the mouth. Lieberman has sent a subpoena to the Obama Administration to produce information about the Nidal Hasan shooting. HuffPo commenters accuse him of grandstanding. Apparently anybody who dares question The Won will be attacked. They also accuse him of being single-handedly responsible for tanking the public option in Obamacare. I seem to recall some personal attacks against his wife and vigils held outside his home. Did he back down? No.

After watching this administration shred the Constitution for over a year, it is satisfying to see them on the wrong end of a subpoena. It's about time. Full Democrat supermajorities have led to an anything-goes atmosphere in Washington that is anything but ethical. Does the Obama Administration need to keep Hasan's information secret to protect his prosecution? Maybe. They can tell it to the judge, so to speak.

Is Yemen Tomorrow's War?

Why is it that only TODAY did I learn that fully HALF of the detainees remaining at GITMO are from Yemen? Is this some sort of secret? Why is it that TODAY I learned that one of the Gitmo detainees released in 2007 to Saudi Arabia disappeared following some sort of anti-terror class, and resurfaced on Yemen as the head of Al Quaeda there? Why is it that a man with known connections to Yemen's Al Quaeda was NOT placed on a no-fly list and allowed to fly in an airplane to Detroit? A man who follows the very same Imam who was linked to Hasan, the Fort Hood muslim terrorist? Why is it that Homeland Security seems to busy itself more with Americans who read the Constitution than foreigners who openly call for America's destruction? I, for one, am tired of it. Something's got to change.

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) Sunday said that Yemen could be the ground of America's next overseas war if Washington does not take preemptive action to root out al-Qaeda interests there.

Lieberman, who helms the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, said on "Fox News Sunday" that the U.S. will have to take an active approach in Yemen after multiple recent terrorist attacks on the U.S. were linked back to the Middle Eastern nation.

The Connecticut senator said that an administration official told him that "Iraq was yesterday's war, Afghanistan is today's war. If we don't act preemptively, Yemen will be tomorrow's war."

Sen Lieberman's Home is Under Siege by the Left

In an event held by the "Interfaith Fellowship for Universal Health Care" a "prayer vigil" was held outside of Joe Lieberman's Strawberry Hill Ave. apartment building in Stamford, Connecticut on November 15, 2009. Their people estimate about 475 in attendance. They marched from the Stamford High School to pray and chant outside of Joe Lieberman's home.
The protestors are angry because Sen. Lieberman has stated that he plans to join Republicans in a filibuster of the Obamacare bill. Lieberman does not want to put the debt this bill would cause onto his children and grandchildren. Lieberman said he won’t block efforts to begin the debate, but he will filibuster a public option to end the debate.
Please click this link and send letters/faxes/emails of support to Sen. Lieberman. We can't allow intimidation tactics by the left to be the only voice he hears.
