Great Speakers At San Juan Capistrano Tea Party

Star Parker, candidate for congress in CA-37, is a great speaker. I fully enjoyed listening to her and hearing how she used to be a liberal "living the lie that the left sells".
She said that we are at a crossroads. And we pray that we may be able to save our country from being turned into that which our founders did not intend.

Lon Uso, San Juan Capistrano Mayor said, "We came here to be Americans, not Mexicans living in America."
He worries that he has friends that are reducing their output so they can be below an artificial line separating average people from the rich must be punished for their success.
"We are trading our freedom for comfort."

Lynn Schorr quoted, "being American is not a matter of blood or birth, but a matter of faith. Who said that? Barack Obama said that several days ago. Faith? Or is it a matter of LAW, Mr. President?"
She says that illegals have allegiance to a foreign power and their children have allegiance to those parents. We as Americans welcome immigrants, but in an organized way so that we are not bankrupted.

Linda Dorr said, "Today we find ourselves in the greatest war of our lifetime. We are fighting the governments of Sacramento and Washington."
"You have to set brushfires of freedom in the minds of men. Michelle Bachmann says you have to adopt a progressive. You remind them that there will be a VAT tax and maybe even a tax on the air that we breathe if the Democrats win in November."

Brian Watt, blogger at the Barking Dog of the Radical Right said, "Its time for more of us to stand in Obama's way. Our struggle to preserve protect and defend our freedom never ends."

I Spoke at Today's Anaheim Tea Party, Pic by OC Register

It was so fun to meet the Twitter group again today, at the pre-primary political rally hosted by Rick Amato. I was planning on simply attending. I was surprised when Rick invited the entire Twitter group up onstage, introduced us so graciously and gave us each a turn at the microphone. How very kind. And even more shocking is to look at the O.C. Register story on the tea party and see the picture running with the story has the short moment when I spoke. All I said was, "I believe in the rule of law. We live in a Constitutional Republic, and we need to adhere to the Constitution." And I mentioned my blog and twitter addresses. There were so many more accomplished speakers than I. I really don't deserve this. But it is fun, and my 19-year-old boy was impressed for about 10 seconds.
SONYA SMITH, THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER
ANAHEIM – About 60 Tea Party activists rallied together Sunday evening to stir up enthusiasm ahead of the Tuesday primary election.
Supporters of the Tea Party movement wore red, silver and blue star necklaces, waved American flags and cheered along speakers in the parking lot of a construction site on La Palma Avenue near Imperial Highway.
A series of speakers lined up for the event that was emceed by conservative radio talk show host, Rick Amato. Speakers included Shari Freidenrich, candidate for Orange County Treasurer; Walter Myers III, a Conservative leader who blogs at scientiamedia.com ; Bill Hunt , candidate for Orange County Sheriff; and Phil Liberatore, candidate for the Republican ballot in the 42nd Congressional District.
In this picture from left to right are @mikepfs (kind of cut off), @briantomkins, @kamaainainoc, @opus_6 (me), the 2 "blondes against Obama", @amatotalk (Rick Amato in front) and @kmhappel. Bill Hunt came over to speak with me right after I got off the stage, and I told him I would vote for him for Sheriff. He said he agreed with me about the rule of law and the Constitution. We need more real conservatives in government. Especially in top law enforcement positions. Then I had to run home quickly, because, as you know, a mother's work is never done. :-)

This Tea Party Member Does NOT Want To Be Controlled

I totally remember this lady. Ayesha Kreutz was one of my very first "friends" on Resistnet when I joined last year. How great to "see" her, almost in person. Yippeeee!

Times Square Tea Party

Looks like a nice group showed up in New York City. At times, I get downtrodden about all of the Change going on in this country. Seeing these wonderful patriots lifts my spirits. The Tsunami is building. Usurpers BEWARE.
More footage of Times Square as seen on Glenn Beck.

Hat tip to Nearly Nobody's News.

Find Your Tea Party

Here is a widget for your sidebar. Makes it easy for folks to look up their local Tea Party. Too wide for my puny sidebar.

Great Bunch of People

I'm so happy. I had a really great day. The people at the Santa Ana CA Tea Party were SO nice and very very polite. Grandparents, parents, kids, teenagers, and average Americans. All very VERY concerned about the direction our nation is headed. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

I'm in one of these pictures. Peek-a-boo!

Tea Party Censorship

Remember to Party like it's 1773, despite censorship and derision from the left wing (TASS) media. Business Media points out:

"Such is the fate of Wednesday’s national Tax Day Tea Party. This mega-gathering of tax protesters is scheduled for every single congressional district. More than 500 events are planned. And the national news media have either been silent or shown contempt for the effort.

That’s not journalism, its blatant censorship that would amaze even George Orwell.

The Big Three broadcast networks – ABC, CBS, and NBC – have only mentioned the tea parties in passing three times. This is especially ironic since NBC’s sister network CNBC gave rise to the movement when reporter Rick Santelli ranted about government overspending and talked about having a “Chicago tea party.” Now the third NBC network – MSNBC – is reduced to making juvenile sexual comments about the event.

The Washington Post was even worse than the networks. The paper has only mentioned the movement in a news story once: a brief that ran in a suburban edition. Two major tea parties are planned for Washington this week and the only Post readers who have a clue of what’s going on live in Prince William County. Or, hopefully, rely on media other than the Post.

The New York Times tried a different tack. That paper has mentioned tea parties six times – and five of those have been to disparage and undermine them. The paper questioned Santelli’s involvement and said the rant only “appeared spontaneous.” An April 7 piece by Lawrence Downes mocked a Northport, N.Y. tea party as “a day for brandishing signs, shouting imprecations, and donning silly clothing.” Columnist Frank Rich claimed the Santelli “bonfire fizzled” and columnist Paul Krugman called them “AstroTurf (fake grass roots) events.”

This tax day, hundreds of thousands of hard-working, taxpaying Americans will prove Krugman and the rest of traditional media wrong. They have had to rely on new technologies like Twitter and Facebook to do something as old as civilization itself – protest. But they shouldn’t have to do so.
