OC Register Reports Tea Party As Anti-Illegal Immigration Rally
Apparently I attended a rally against illegal immigrants on Saturday. Yes, I was there at the Tea Party for several hours, live-blogging. Yes, I listened to ALL of the speakers carefully, and they spoke about many topics, including illegal immigration. And NO, Tea Party people do not want to throw open America's doors to any and all illegals. We want a common sense immigration policy that controls the borders FIRST then allows legal immigrants in at a pace that does not bankrupt our once-great nation.
It wasn't until Donald Douglas at American Power Blog emailed me the OC Register story on the Tea Party that I saw that the reporter had reported that "Hundreds Rally Against Illegal Immigrants", featuring a picture that included me in the lower right-hand corner. Huh.
Can someone explain to me why Erika Ritchie, who was not there for the ENTIRE event, reported on such a narrow topic, and pretended that it was the entirety of what the Tea Party was about? Is this all about getting a sensational story on the OC Register website and racking up comments/hits? Or is she trying to smear the Tea Party? Why did she not even mention the Tea Party aspect? There were signs everywhere and quotes from our nation's founders. Look at the coverage on American Power Blog. Donald Douglas shows the wide variety of issues that were discussed.

Obama Gears Up U.S. Army To Fight Tea Party Protestors
These are dark days in America when our men in uniform prepare for war against us.

The duty imposed upon [the president] to take care, that the laws be faithfully executed, follows out the strong injunctions of his oath of office, that he will 'preserve, protect, and defend the constitution.' The great object of the executive department is to accomplish this purpose; and without it, be the form of government whatever it may, it will be utterly worthless for offence, or defence; for the redress of grievances, or the protection of rights; for the happiness, or good order, or safety of the people." --Justice Joseph Story
A few months back, the commander in chief or our Armed Forces, that erstwhile community organizer Barack Hussein Obama, denigrated a large cross section of Americans who identify with the Tea Party movement -- those who advocate for Essential Liberty and Rule of Law.
Obama identified them as malcontents, "waving their little tea bags."
Since then, the Obama administration and their Leftmedia sycophants have endeavored to characterize Tea Party attendees as rude, radical, racist, redneck, enemies of the state.
In fact, Americans who attend Tea Party rallies are from all walks of life, as noted in the Patriot Declaration, Patriots who are peacefully and constitutionally petitioning their government for redress.
As I noted in my tax-day essay, Tea Parties are "not a call for revolution but for restoration -- a call to undertake whatever measures are dictated by prudence and necessity to restore constitutional Rule of Law."
However, Obama's words do have consequences.
This week, I was contacted by a number of military personnel, enlisted and officer ranks, who expressed concern about a military exercise underway at Ft. Knox, the U.S. Bullion Depository. As with most such exercises, the Ft. Knox alert occurred in stages, as if real time intelligence was being provided at various intervals.
The first intel advisory was issued on Friday, 23 April 2010, and identifies the terrorist threat adversaries as "Local Militia Groups / Anti-Government Protesters / TEA Party."
You read that right: "TEA Party"!
The alert states that plans for the demonstration may have been interrupted by "Federal and local law enforcement" raids on a "White Supremacists Organization," but "TEA Party organizers have stated that they will protest at the Gold Vault at a future date."
Further, the intel advisory states, "Anti-Government - Health Care Protesters have stated that they would join the TEA Party as a sign of solidarity."
In accordance with the exercise, Ft. Knox post security is placed on high alert because, "these groups are armed, have combative training and some are former Military Snipers. Some may have explosives training / experience," and "a rally at their compound / training area is scheduled."
Another intel update was issued on Monday, 26 April 2010, noting that the "rally at the Militia compound occurred," and "Viable threats ... have been made." The intel on the rally notes, "Many members were extremely agitated at what they referred to as Government intervention and over taxation in their lives. Alcohol use 'fanned the flames.' Many military grade firearms were openly carried. An ad hoc 'shoot the government agent' event was held with prizes (alcohol) given for the best shot placement."
The report states further, "Components of bomb making are reported to have been on the site. Some members have criminal records relating to explosive and weapons violations."
In response to the "immediate threat," the exercise stipulates, "local detention centers are being made ready for mass arrests." Both the "QRF I and QRF II" are placed on two hour recall, and the "5-15 CAV" was ordered to "draw weapons from holder and store in most available arms room," and "coordinate with MASA for immediate ammunition draw; have equipment readied for immediate use, i.e. vehicles staged and loaded IAW 5-15 CAV SOP; LMR's charged."
QRF refers to Quick Reaction Force. QRF I is the 16th Cavalry Regiment. QRF II is the 194th Armored Brigade.
The 26 April order gives specific instructions for the 5-15 CAV (a 16th Cavalry battalion) to have weapons, ammo, vehicles and communications at ready, and it places the other 2,200 members of the units on two-hour recall. In other words, these orders are to gear up for defending Ft. Knox against Tea Party folks and their co-conspirators who oppose nationalization of our health care sector.
Now, for almost 30 years I have participated in the development and implementation of small and large scale military exercises within the U.S. and around the world.
Such exercises are critical to the readiness of our forces, and the standard for the real time intel reports in these drills requires thinly veiled references to assets of existing or collateral threat vectors such as communist regimes such as China and real terrorist networks such as al-Qa'ida, etc.
Perhaps the writers of such exercises today should focus on response plans for, say, an Islamic terrorist who attacks a post. (See Ft. Hood / Major Nidal Malik Hasan.)
The Ft. Knox exercise is not only amateurish in its construct, but also sets an ominous political precedent.
The military officers and enlisted personnel with whom I spoke are all dedicated uniformed Patriots who are loyal, first and foremost, to their oath to "support and defend" our Constitution "against all enemies, foreign and domestic."
Their concerns about this exercise mirrored my own. As one put it, the exercise "misrepresents freedom loving Americans as drunken, violent racists -- the opponents of Obama's policies have been made the enemy of the U.S. Army."
They were equally concerned that command staff at Ft. Knox had signed off on this exercise, noting, "it has been issued and owned by field grade officers who lead our battalions and brigades," which is to say many Lieutenant Colonels saw this order before it was implemented.
It's not likely that Ft. Knox Commanding General James Milano or Deputy Commander Col. David Teeples, or even the regimental and brigade commanders for the 16th Cav and 194th AB, actually read the exercise scenario, but that doesn't absolve responsibility for such an egregious example of political exploitation of U.S. forces.
One officer insisted, "The American people should require greater accountability of their commissioned officers, that they abide by their oath and never allow politically motivated propaganda like this exercise on any post or base again."
Another observed, "Whether this is complacency by officers who do not see such orders as a problem, or worse, officers who recognize the problem but do not insist the orders are changed, this is a serious problem. We are discussing the training of American citizen soldiers in the use of potentially deadly force against a specific group of political dissenters. There is never a time in an officer's career in which he does not have a duty to apply critical thought to the orders he is given and asked to give. It is my opinion that any officer that has allowed these orders to persist, to reach the level of junior officers and soldiers, has demonstrated a lack of judgment or apathy towards what his duty requires of him. Either way, we should demand more of the commissioned officers, who we as a nation empower to lead our sons and daughters into battle."
Indeed, and at best, the blatant malfeasance on the part of the individuals who composed this exercise reflects poorly on the uniformed services.
The antidote to this patent misrepresentation of peaceable Patriots is to expose it with the Light of Truth. As our motto Veritas vos Liberabit affirms, the Truth shall set you Free!

Momentum Is With Tea Party
Rasmussen says 48% of Americans feel that the Tea Party more closely represents their views than Obama (44%).
This is GREAT. Despite the Alinsky smear tactics of the left wing media, the message is getting out and resonating. We are winning the war for the hearts and minds of America. And remember what Pelosi said. We will learn about this health care bill AFTER we pass it. As we come closer and closer to the November elections, the Tea Party number will continue to GROW. Even Legal Insurrection's liberal friend converted, and ate humble pie while doing it "You were right about Obama."
We must go the next step by finding good local and state candidates for office and donating/volunteering to help them. Think you can't afford to donate anymore? You can't afford NOT to. If we don't take back the country this November you won't have to worry about your wallet at all. Obama knows how to take care of it for you.
Courage! Once more into the breach!

High School Boy Makes Tea Party Commercial
From Justin in Alabama.
THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE AND OUR CHILDREN PROVIDE A GREAT MEASURE OF IT. AND WE WILL FULFILL OUR PROMISE TO PASS ON TO THEM A FREE AMERICA!
WATCH AND BELIEVE!
This is for everyone that cares about our future.
This will inspire you to go ahead-- and be an American!
This resulted from a Mom in Alabama asking her high school son to help with a commercial for the Tea Party she was involved in organizing.
Boy, does it slam the message home. Very impressive. Here is her note:
"I asked Justin if he could help me make a commercial for my group's Tea Party. He sat down at the laptop for about an hour, and then brought this to me and asked, 'is this okay, Mom?'
After I finished watching it, my stomach was in my throat.
Everyone that I have sent it to has really enjoyed it, so I wanted my friends to see it. I am so proud!"
A very powerful video...turn up the sound & sit back...!!!

Tea Party Patriots Demand Apology
President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Others Owe 1.2 Million Tea Partiers an Apology -
The American People Deserve Better From Their Elected Representatives and Are Beginning to Demand It
Among the political class it has apparently become acceptable, and even fashionable, for American politicians from the President on down to mock the citizens they represent. In a development that can only further denigrate the discourse necessary to any effective democracy, politicians and the "serious" news media are now mocking citizens regularly and with impunity. Supported by mainstream journalists on MSNBC and CNN who themselves use sexual slurs on national television to mock and attack the same citizens, the politicians openly demonstrate their feelings of superiority in regard to those they were elected to represent. They now candidly express their disdain for a significant portion of the American population without threat of reprisal by the mainstream media.
On the morning of the April 15th Tea Parties, the American public was informed on national news by one of the President's economic advisers, Jared Bernstein, that the President was "unaware" of the tea parties taking place in over 850 cities across the nation. On April 29th, the President informed a town hall meeting in St. Louis that he has now become aware of the tea parties, but only from "certain news channels on which I'm not very popular." He referred to the one million plus Patriots who came out in legitimate and constitutionally protected demonstrations of free speech on April 15th as "folks waving tea bags around..." While he collects royalties (last year about $2.6 million) from his books, The Audacity of Hope and Dreams From My Father, the President has the audacity to imply that we the people have nothing legitimate to say about high taxes, wasteful spending and corporate bailouts. The President also seems to believe that it is appropriate to mock millions of Americans who are expressing their opinions publicly in a peaceful manner. "Perhaps he feels that by mocking the tea parties and the patriots who attend them, that he can marginalize them. But we know that real patriots cannot be marginalized, and that they will continue to make their voices heard in ever greater numbers," says Mark Meckler, Sacramento Tea Party Coordinator and Tea Party Patriots National Leadership Council Member.
This sort of condescending approach to the grassroots is a hallmark of politicians all across this land. We, the grassroots are mocked by the President as "folks waving tea bags around." Discussion of our legitimate complaints and concerns is avoided through the use of derogatory and condescending rhetoric. We've heard similar rhetoric from the Speaker Nancy Pelosi who says the tea parties are an "Astroturf initiative," and "contrived events backed by those who like tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans." Rep. Jan Schakowsky (IL), called people who attended the Tea Parties "despicable" and "shameful," said they represent "corporate interests" and said the events were created only by "Republican lobbyists and politicians." At every level, the majority of politicians refuse to discuss the issues head on, and refuse to acknowledge the fact that a huge, non-partisan, grassroots movement has coalesced around limited government, fiscal responsibility and lower taxes. As politicians, they are simply interested in taking and spending more and more of our money, and in leaving our children with the burdens of their excess. And they mock, deride and oppose anyone who objects to what they are doing.
At this time, the President, and all other politicians who demeaned the tea party protesters, Speaker Pelosi (CA), and Rep. Schakowsky (IL) included, owe 1.2 million patriots an apology. If our politicians are truly interested in dialogue with the people they claim to represent, such a dialogue must begin with respect for the citizens of this country. That show of respect will begin when the politicians acknowledge that mocking and demeaning well-intentioned, peaceful patriots who love their country is the height of arrogance, and a terrible mistake. The American people deserve better from their elected representatives, and are beginning to demand it.

Censorship, part 2
The censor squad was out if full force yesterday. Or rather, they were not. There was not a satellite truck to be found. And I know something about satellite trucks. After the CA wildfires last November, you couldn't park on my street for all the sat trucks with gigantic parabolic antennas on top. I saw NOBODY from local TV stations at the Santa Ana protest.
President Obama remains remarkably out of touch with the American People. He says that he knows nothing about any Tea Parties.
So I will have to be your intrepid reporter for this event. I will be posting pictures this month at the bottom of my posts. There were SO many great people and awesome signs. I can't share them all at once. They are to be savored.

Great Bunch of People
I'm so happy. I had a really great day. The people at the Santa Ana CA Tea Party were SO nice and very very polite. Grandparents, parents, kids, teenagers, and average Americans. All very VERY concerned about the direction our nation is headed. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

I'm in one of these pictures. Peek-a-boo!

Why will I do it?
Tomorrow I will put my flesh where my mouth is. I will stand in the open air of my local Tea Party for all to see. I will stand up for my country, for the freedom that I believe in. I am a mother of 6 children, the youngest 1 year old, and yet I will do this. Why?
I remember many occasions as a child, and one in particular, that may help you to understand where I am coming from. I remember standing in my morning shower, around the age of 12, just marveling. Wondering how in the world I had been so lucky, so blessed to have been born in the great country of the United States of America. What had I done to deserve this, when there are people all over the world being born into starvation, poverty and oppression. I live in the Land of Opportunity, flowing with the fruits of the labor of the private sector, available to all who have the wit and the drive to accomplish great things.
Now I see my country under attack. Maybe President Obama means well. I like to think he does. Maybe he truly believes that Centralization of Power to the government is the medicine that our nation needs. That we must Nationalize Healthcare, Nationalize Energy, Nationalize Education, Take Over Private Business, pit citizen against citizen in class warfare so that all may become equal.
But I have my beliefs as well. I believe in my SOUL that this is the wrong path for our nation. I saw in my trip to Sweden how destructive this way of life is to the citizens and children. All becomes drab sameness, person to person, house to house. Those who dream of and achieve greatness are forced to flee the country. I cannot stand idly by and watch these "Changes" happen to my country without speaking up. I will not give up on this great nation of Freedom and Liberty without a fight.
I urge you to attend your local Tea Party tomorrow. Bring a sign. Stand with me. If you love your country, if you love your children, if you honor the legacy left to you by your forefathers through their blood, please do this. It means everything.
