Ooops! Somebody Lied. Greg Craig? SEIU? Obama? Ask Blago.

Apparently Obama's counsel, Greg Craig, said that he did not have sex with that senate seat. SEIU recalls otherwise....

The Unions: Obama's Private Army?

This story explains a lot. More and more union members now work for the government, as opposed to the private sector. Andy Stern, the president of SEIU, wins the "most frequent visitor award" at the White House for 2009. And SEIU members were PAID to stump for Coakley in the Senate race for Ted Kennedy's seat last month. This does not look good.

It's now official: In 2009 the number of unionized workers who work for the government surpassed those in the private economy for the first time. This milestone explains a lot about modern American politics, in particular the paradox that union clout with Democrats has increased even as fewer workers belong to unions overall.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported recently that 51.4% of America's 15.4 million union members, or about 7.91 million workers, were employed by the government in 2009. As recently as 1980, there were more than twice as many private as public union members. But private union membership has continued to decline, even as unions have organized more public employees. The nearby chart shows the historical trend.

[1unions]

Overall unionism keeps declining, however, with the loss of 771,000 union jobs amid last year's recession. Only one in eight workers (12.3%) now belongs to a union, with private union employment hitting a record low of 7.2% of all jobs, down from 7.6% in 2008. Only one in 13 U.S. workers in the private economy pays union dues. In government, by contrast, the union employee share rose to 37.4% from 36.8% the year before.

In private industries, union workers are subject to the vagaries of the marketplace and economic growth. Thus in 2009 10.1% of private union jobs were eliminated, which was more than twice the 4.4% rate of overall private job losses. On the other hand, government unions offer what is close to lifetime job security and benefits, subject only to gross dereliction of duty. Once a city or state's workers are organized by a union, the jobs almost never go away.

TO ALL OF OUR FRIENDS AT ACORN AND SEIU. . .

From tea partiers on Twitter:

All the many tea partiers here on Twitter wanted to send you one final “shout-out” before the big election in Massachusetts on Tuesday.

AND we wanted to share with you the results of our little tweeting campaign we’ve been conducting over the past week.

As you know, we’ve been tweeting articles and You Tube videos to both the National and Massachusetts media throughout the past week. Our tweets were to Newspapers, TV and Radio.

BOY OH BOY, were people interested in what we had to say!

• Over 100,000 tweets were sent;

• Over 20,000 people viewed the articles and videos we sent out;

• One national and several Massachusetts news organizations told us they would be investigating both of your organization’s activities on election day;

• Nearly 3000 people have told us they’d be bringing video cameras to polling places just to video you and yours “having election day fun.” (You wouldn’t beleive where people told us they’d be hiding cameras!)

SEIU: The Good, The Bad, and the Unethical

Purple-Shirted SEIU Members for Scott Brown:

More after the break

OK, I take back what I said about the SEIU. Not ALL of their members are bad or Union Thugs. I have to tell you, though, it will be hard for me to forget the SEIU beating of Kenneth Gladney or the strong-arm tactics used against the elderly at last summer's town hall meetings. I have got my eye on SEIU and ACORN. Looks like Scott Brown filed an ethics complaint against SEIU today because they may have used public funds to pay their members to hold signs promoting Martha Coakley for Senate.

This is actually great timing. Coakley, the MA Attorney General, has now 1) committed copyright infringement on UPS’s slogan, and 2) slandered Brown about rape victims, and 3) accepted illegal assistance from SEIU who used state resources to campaign for her. All of this stuff hits the fan on Saturday… and you know who is coming to town tomorrow. How is Obama going to get up there on stage with an Attorney General who just committed THREE CRIMES and endorse her for Senate? He’ll do it… and flush any remaining credibility down the toilet.

There is a Clear Choice Here, Veteran or Thug.

Forgive me. I can't stop blogging about Scott Brown. He is so WONDERFUL! And a VETERAN. Please vote for him if you live in Massachusetts.

Scott Brown Takes The High Road

He Blasts Coakley's Negative Attack Ads:
Coakley might be running negative attack ads paid for by SEIU, but Scott Brown is running a positive campaign based on grassroots support. Hat Tip NorsU on Twitter and Gateway Pundit.

PHRMA *Loves* Martha Coakley

SLEAZY LOBBYIST BRIGADE:

With Democrat Martha Coakley in trouble in the Massachusetts special election to fill Ted Kennedy’s seat, Democrats could lose vote No. 60 for President Obama’s health-care bill. In response, an army of lobbyists for drug companies, health insurance companies, and hospitals has teamed up to throw a high-dollar Capitol Hill fundraiser for Coakley next Tuesday night. The invitation is [above].
Of the 22 names on the host committee–meaning they raised $10,000 or more for Coakley–17 are federally registered lobbyists, 15 of whom have health-care clients. Of the other five hosts, one is married to a lobbyist, one was a lobbyist in Pennsylvania, another is a lawyer at a lobbying firm, and another is a corporate CEO. Oh, and of course, there’s also the political action commitee for Boston Scientific Corporation.
All the leading drug companies have lobbyists on Coakley’s host committee: Pfizer, Merck, Amgen, Sanofi-Aventis, Eli Lilly, Novartis, Astra-Zeneca, and more. On the insurance side of things, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, HealthSouth, and United Health all are represented on the host committee.
From Tim Carney at the Washington Examiner via Michelle Malkin.

Scott Brown was in Massachusetts today, and Coakley was in D.C. Brown raised over a million dollars yesterday via grassroots support. Coakley raised over a million dollars today from the DSCC, DNC and SEIU.

Coakley represents everything that is wrong with America today.

SIEU Voter Fraud. Where is the Investigation?

Here are some whistleblowers complaining that SEIU members came to their house, marked their ballots FOR them, and took the ballots away. This MUST be investigated.

Of course, ACORN is not under Federal investigation yet, either. I really don't know what an organization has to DO to get investigated nowadays. Any ideas?

Census cuts ties with ACORN but not SEIU

by Brian Leach, at the examiner.
Following the release of the undercover videos that depicted ACORN workers helping a fake pimp and prostitute commit crimes, the Census Bureau quickly severed ties with the group. Soon after, Congress cut funding to the organization and its affiliates – including the SEIU.
However, the Census Bureau has not severed ties with SEIU. The union even refers to its ya es hora !HAGASE CONTAR! campaign to get a “full count” of Latinos next year on its website. (SEIU claims the Census is important to Latinos because their community “could see up to an additional $100 million in federal funding.”
The Service Employees International Union was founded by Wade Rathke who also founded ACORN. The ties between the two groups are extensive. Under Rathke’s direction, ACORN created THE SEIU Local 100 in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas and THE SEIU Local 880 in Illinois, Indiana, and Kansas.
According to affidavits from whistle-blowers within the group, the SEIU provided ACORN with funding for political activities and union organizing. Union financial reports filed with the Labor Department show that the SEIU, along with Change to Win, gave ACORN over $1.7 million in 2008, and more than $4 million since 2006.
Rathke only resigned as “chief organizer” of ACORN, a post he had held since its founding in 1970, last year when it became known that his brother had embezzled more than $1 million from the group. However, he continues to run SEIU Local 100 and ACORN International – known now as Community Organizations International.
ACORN and the SEIU are basically one and the same. Is the Census Bureau trying to play a shell game with the American public?
Two Illinois Representatives have called on the Census to completely sever the ties. "ACORN and the SEIU have a long web of connections in Chicago and around the country, and there's simply no place for a group so closely connected to ACORN to be part of something of such national importance as the U.S. Census," said Representative Peter Roskam (R-IL) in a press release. “Given SEIU’s co-location with ACORN in Chicago and SEIU’s intimate financial relationship with ACORN, we should take action to protect the public from the corruption of the 2010 census,” added Representative Mark Kirk.

Unions Poised to Take Over Health Care?

A massive time bomb ticks away, buried in thousands of pages of legislation.

What happens when it explodes?

The forced unionization of hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) of doctors, nurses and other health care workers; billions of new forced-dues dollars rolling into Big Labor's coffers; and the union bosses in nearly complete control of your health care.

You see, as bad as what you've already heard about President Obama's health care plan -- the reality may be even worse.

You see, when I saw the videos of union thugs beating down elderly Americans for protesting "Obamacare", I knew something sinister was afoot.

So I called one of the foremost experts on Senate procedure, rules and process. He worked in the Senate for over 30 years! He was respected by most and feared by his opponents.

Why?

Because he actually read the bills! He knew the inside game.

But what he uncovered and reported back shocked even me.

I wish it was as simple as a sentence that reads "all health care workers must join or pay dues to a union."

Then, we could trumpet this power grab in a way even the media can't miss, and take out the offending section.

But the forced-unionism scheme is built deep into the very details of the mechanism for "public option," "employer mandates" and "cooperative health care associations."

Simply put, you and I must act today to stop the entire bill.

I'll try to explain in detail what I've uncovered (I've checked with top legal minds to be sure I was right), but I hope and pray right now you will trust me by agreeing to sign the Citizen Mandate opposing the "Obamacare" forced-unionization scheme and make a most generous contribution to your National Right to Work Committee.

You see, "Obamacare" is already increasingly unpopular with working Americans and retirees as they come to understand what it will mean for their health.

And when the American people find out the real story -- how "Obamacare" will give Big Labor control of health care (over 16% of the entire economy) forcing hundreds of thousands of Americans to pay billions into union treasuries -- I believe there will be an uproar unseen in decades that will kill this dangerous bill completely.

You know President Obama is demanding action immediately with Congress back in session.

And seeing Americans rallying in opposition, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are eager to get it done before the entire truth is uncovered.

I received this via email this morning. I hope they are wrong. Is this why the unions are fighting, literally fist fighting with American citizens who criticize this bill? They want to take over 16% of the American economy? They want to OWN all of the doctors and other medical professionals? Their thuggish behavior makes more sense in light of this information. Can the American People stop this power grab? We must stop this bill. NO public option. NO "cooperatives". Even the name "cooperative" gives me the creeps. Marxism creeps toward my door.

If you disagree with this, please prove me wrong. That would make my day.

Hundreds Protest SEIU Violent Union Thugs

A few hundred showed up today outside SEIU headquarters in St. Louis to condemn the SEIU racist union violence. The SEIU cracked open a window and stuck out a video camera, but did not offer an apology or statement.

Although he was too weak to speak after his beating on Thursday, black conservative Kenneth Gladney attended the event. Kenneth was beaten, kicked and called racist names by Russ Carnahan's SEIU supporters after a town hall meeting on Thursday.

Did you notice how conservative women are more attractive than their liberal counterparts? I'm just sayin'. Don't tread on us.
