ACORN Announces Bankruptcy

Well, what do you know. Hey, does this mean no Acorn-shaped cookies will be served at the White House Christmas party this year? Bertha Lewis blames a "right wing media blitz." Chalk up one more election day victory for the Tea Party.

Now if only we could defund SEIU.

Jerry Brown Says ACORN Broke No Laws

California Attorney General, Jerry Brown, has announced that ACORN workers did not break any laws in their behavior on tape with Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe. Brown called it "terrible judgement" and "highly inappropriate behavior".

On Bill Handel's morning show on KFI the attorney disagreed, saying "if that is not conspiracy to defraud the government, I don't know what is." He was referring to the ACORN workers advising Giles and O'Keefe to lie about her profession and lie to the government.

And Brown is running for governor of CA again? Wasn't he known as "governor moonbeam" last time? Is that the change CA needs?

Commenters had a lot to say about this.

Well, what do you expect from Jerry Brown and Schwartzenegger and Cal? Hey, I live here and we are ashamed of our govt but here, amidst the Fruits and Nuts we expect this insanity daily. Of course they broke no laws. The San Francisco freak set said they broke no laws!! "Acorn", now ACCE. is perfectly at home here and will continue to lie, cheat and steal with both hands because Cal. "laws" and law makers will protect them.

So, exactly what DO you have to do in Calieforneeaaah to get prosecuted? Maybe if they would have said something unkind about the "Beautiful People" at Hollywoods they would have been prosecuted for a hate crime???!!!!

Anyone who lives in California knows what a disaster Mr. Brown has been as A.G. - and this ruling is really no surprise. Mr. Brown is running for governor on a pledge to help Mr. Obama further his radical agenda; Mr. Brown claims that a win for him is a win for our failed president so it is with a wink and a nod that Mr. Brown has decided not to pursue this organized crime operation. Good job Jerry - you have won the undying gratitude of your good buddy Mr. Obama and failed to do your job.

TO ALL OF OUR FRIENDS AT ACORN AND SEIU. . .

From tea partiers on Twitter:

All the many tea partiers here on Twitter wanted to send you one final “shout-out” before the big election in Massachusetts on Tuesday.

AND we wanted to share with you the results of our little tweeting campaign we’ve been conducting over the past week.

As you know, we’ve been tweeting articles and You Tube videos to both the National and Massachusetts media throughout the past week. Our tweets were to Newspapers, TV and Radio.

BOY OH BOY, were people interested in what we had to say!

• Over 100,000 tweets were sent;

• Over 20,000 people viewed the articles and videos we sent out;

• One national and several Massachusetts news organizations told us they would be investigating both of your organization’s activities on election day;

• Nearly 3000 people have told us they’d be bringing video cameras to polling places just to video you and yours “having election day fun.” (You wouldn’t beleive where people told us they’d be hiding cameras!)

SEIU: The Good, The Bad, and the Unethical

Purple-Shirted SEIU Members for Scott Brown:

More after the break

OK, I take back what I said about the SEIU. Not ALL of their members are bad or Union Thugs. I have to tell you, though, it will be hard for me to forget the SEIU beating of Kenneth Gladney or the strong-arm tactics used against the elderly at last summer's town hall meetings. I have got my eye on SEIU and ACORN. Looks like Scott Brown filed an ethics complaint against SEIU today because they may have used public funds to pay their members to hold signs promoting Martha Coakley for Senate.
Hat Tip Red Mass Group.
This is actually great timing. Coakley, the MA Attorney General, has now 1) committed copyright infringement on UPS’s slogan, and 2) slandered Brown about rape victims, and 3) accepted illegal assistance from SEIU who used state resources to campaign for her. All of this stuff hits the fan on Saturday… and you know who is coming to town tomorrow. How is Obama going to get up there on stage with an Attorney General who just committed THREE CRIMES and endorse her for Senate? He’ll do it… and flush any remaining credibility down the toilet.

ACORN to Oversee America's Finances in TARP II?

From Michele Bachmann's website:
Bachmann: House Preserves ACORN’s Role in TARP II
Washington, D.C., Dec 10 -

(Washington, D.C.) U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann (MN-06), member of the House Financial Services Committee, made the following statement after the Democrat Leadership denied the entire House an opportunity to vote on her amendment to prevent ACORN from participating in the Consumer Financial Protection Agency’s Oversight Board. The Consumer Financial Protection Agency (CFPA) is an expansive new government bureaucracy with far-reaching powers to make decisions for consumers about the kinds of mortgages, small business loans, and other financial products they may access. The Oversight Board will be tasked with advising the Agency’s director on strategies and policies.

“An organization that has repeatedly shown an inability to adhere to even the most basic standards of ethics should not have a role in overseeing our nation’s financial system,” said Bachmann. “By rejecting consideration of my amendment, the Democrat Majority protected ACORN instead of American taxpayers and investors.”

In recent months, the IRS, U.S. Census Bureau, and Congress have taken numerous actions to sever ties with ACORN. In fact, less than two months ago, the House Financial Services Committee accepted another amendment offered by Bachmann that would prevent ACORN from serving on a similar board established in the exact same bill under consideration this week.

“There is a clear consensus amongst the American people that ACORN is unfit to receive federal funds and partner with federal organizations. The Democrat Leadership’s decision today robs Congress from having the opportunity to take an up-or-down vote on my amendment and keep ACORN out of our financial markets,” said Bachmann.

SIEU Voter Fraud. Where is the Investigation?

Here are some whistleblowers complaining that SEIU members came to their house, marked their ballots FOR them, and took the ballots away. This MUST be investigated.

Of course, ACORN is not under Federal investigation yet, either. I really don't know what an organization has to DO to get investigated nowadays. Any ideas?

Follow the ACORN Money...

...and the false god will crumble.

Besides the recent videos exposing mortgage and tax fraud activities you can rest assure that there is a hell of a lot of money laundering going on too.
This is how it works. The object is to turn federal and state grant monies into campaign contributions. That's what money laundering is in the public sector; turn an apple into a peach. You give the federal and state grant money back to the politician that first gave you the money but you are converting it from public funds to campaign funds that the politician can walk away with after he or she retires or decides not to run again.
Can you spell payoff? I can. I just did.
This is corruption at it's worst.
Congressmen from the right are now insisting that Attorney General Eric Holder investigate ACORN under the RICO Act which would classify them as a criminal enterprise similar to the Mafia. Will he? We will see.
Washington is a tangled web of deals and compromises that with every administration becomes more complicated as the issues become more important.
If you recall, a few weeks ago the Cheney/CIA investigations where picked up by the AG's office. The uproar from the right was thunderous.
Finally, this ACORN explosion has given the right an issue that could unseat many in congress and the left are running scared. I have never seen the congress unfund an organization so quickly. And with no investigation.

Obama Admin Gives ACORN 1 Mill to Fight Fires

Despite the uproar over the pimp-friendly organization promoting teen prostitution, the Obama Administration gifted the pro-Obama community organization with $1 million grant earlier this month to fight fires(?)
Senator David Vitter (R-LA) reported this at Big Government:

Earlier this month and despite the public scrutiny over the voter fraud and felony criminal activity associated with ACORN, the Department of Homeland Security went ahead and granted $997,402 to ACORN under the FY 2008 Fire Prevention and Safety Program.

To most people, the timing and the amount of the grant would seem off base, but when you take into account the fact that DHS awarded ACORN–an organization with no clear expertise in fire safety and prevention–a fire prevention and safety grant, it’s just plain offensive.

With fire departments all over Louisiana – and the rest of the country – struggling to make ends meet and get the equipment and training they need to protect their local communities, the idea of a million dollar grant going to ACORN is unsettling, to say the least.

Census cuts ties with ACORN but not SEIU

by Brian Leach, at the examiner.
Following the release of the undercover videos that depicted ACORN workers helping a fake pimp and prostitute commit crimes, the Census Bureau quickly severed ties with the group. Soon after, Congress cut funding to the organization and its affiliates – including the SEIU.
However, the Census Bureau has not severed ties with SEIU. The union even refers to its ya es hora !HAGASE CONTAR! campaign to get a “full count” of Latinos next year on its website. (SEIU claims the Census is important to Latinos because their community “could see up to an additional $100 million in federal funding.”
The Service Employees International Union was founded by Wade Rathke who also founded ACORN. The ties between the two groups are extensive. Under Rathke’s direction, ACORN created THE SEIU Local 100 in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas and THE SEIU Local 880 in Illinois, Indiana, and Kansas.
According to affidavits from whistle-blowers within the group, the SEIU provided ACORN with funding for political activities and union organizing. Union financial reports filed with the Labor Department show that the SEIU, along with Change to Win, gave ACORN over $1.7 million in 2008, and more than $4 million since 2006.
Rathke only resigned as “chief organizer” of ACORN, a post he had held since its founding in 1970, last year when it became known that his brother had embezzled more than $1 million from the group. However, he continues to run SEIU Local 100 and ACORN International – known now as Community Organizations International.
ACORN and the SEIU are basically one and the same. Is the Census Bureau trying to play a shell game with the American public?
Two Illinois Representatives have called on the Census to completely sever the ties. "ACORN and the SEIU have a long web of connections in Chicago and around the country, and there's simply no place for a group so closely connected to ACORN to be part of something of such national importance as the U.S. Census," said Representative Peter Roskam (R-IL) in a press release. “Given SEIU’s co-location with ACORN in Chicago and SEIU’s intimate financial relationship with ACORN, we should take action to protect the public from the corruption of the 2010 census,” added Representative Mark Kirk.

ACORN Trial to Start This Week

An Acorn Official Christopher Edwards has "flipped", agreeing to testify against ACORN on corruption charges. This is the first time that ACORN is on trial itself. The Attorney General and Secretary of State of Nevada, both Democrats, found a resource manual, a how-to-guide on voter registration fraud. If workers signed more than 20 people to register to vote they got cash rewards, which is illegal. There appears to be embezzlement, racketeering and money laundering going on.
