I've Had It With The Condescender-In-Chief

I mean it. Who does he think he is to tell us we cannot handle our tech devices and that we cannot tell what ranks high on the "truth-meter" or not. And whose truth meter are we talking about. HIS? Because if it were up to him, Fox News would disappear off the cable networks. Rush, Hannity and Levin would disappear off of the air waves. Conservative bloggers would disappear off of the internet. Huffington Post would be required morning reading.

Obama said: "Meanwhile, you're coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't rank all that high on the truth meter. With iPods and iPads; Xboxes and PlayStations; information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment. All of this is not only putting new pressures on you; it is putting new pressures on our country and on our democracy."

This guy is SO transparent. He hates us and he gets his digs in when he can. He was speaking in front of a group of new graduates and wanted to warn them about us purveyors of information. Be careful, Little Red Riding Hood, don't talk to strangers. They might not have your best interest at heart. They might be a...a....heaven forbid, a distraction!

The techies have this issue all wrong. Obama could care less who uses what tech device. I Pad, I Pod, x-boxes. He doesn't want them having access to "unfiltered" opinions on the internet. Some of which don't meet HIS idea of truth. That was his real message and I think Fidel Castro would be proud. Not to mention Chavez.
