We have changed in so many ways in the past two years.

I remember when Americans would yawn and run in the other direction when somebody brought up the topic of the national debt ceiling. No more. A vast majority of Americans are paying close attention to this issue. And I wager that the voting on this issue will have great sway in the way Americans will vote in 2012. Politicians who decide to sell out our nation's future so they don't have to deal with problems today will feel our wrath. They can laugh all the way to the unemployment line.

I remember when Americans believed that terrorism was caused by a few violent extremists, who misunderstood and perverted the religion of islam. Not so. Islamic moderates, those who are yet un-murdered by their muslim brethren, are the ones who misinterpret the Koran. Mohammed clearly states that war will be made on unbelievers unto the end of time or when islam rules all. We are fooled by taqiya (lying) no more. The 19 hijackers perfectly represented their religion. As much as it would be nice to believe otherwise. We ignore this information at our peril, as the buddhists of Thailand now know. Babies and children beheaded for being buddhist? Par for the course.

I remember when Americans thought that Israel had problems with Palestinians because they had not made enough land deals such as "land for peace". This could not be more wrong. Muslims hate Israelis because they exist. They hate all non-muslims because we exist. Giving more land to them simply weakens our defenses against them. An outcome that they favor, of course. And unwise.

I remember when Americans frowned when entering the voting booth and meekly voted for the lesser of two evils because "that's how politics works". Well no more. We must take this country back in hand. We must re-strengthen the Constitution or we will have no protection from tyranny. Our forefathers gave us a system to protect us. But only if we can keep it.

Thank you, Obama. Your breakneck attack against America, highlighted by Obamacare, an entitlement program that would weigh down an overloaded expense equation and bankrupt this nation quicker than Social Security and Medicare are already doing, woke us out of our slumber. With any luck, we will reverse the destructive course you have set for us.

Thank you, Obama. You offended our friends and cozied up to our enemies. You woke us up to the need to create our own brand of foreign diplomacy, which we do every day on the internet. Our friends know they have friends here, no thanks to you.

Thank you, Obama. You declared September 11th to be a day of national volunteerism or some such nonsense. The good people of America already do a LOT of volunteering, and we don't need you to show us how. And we also don't need you distracting us from a solemn day of remembrance of our dead and the MUSLIMS WHO DID IT.

Obama and the Trust Factor-Kyle Ann Shiver

For the scant few media folks still scratching their heads in puzzled frustration over the massive displays of public discontent with Barack Obama's presidency, this one's for you. No, the discontent is not about his race, his smoking or whether he wears a helmet while riding his bike. It's not about his wife's biceps or her shorts or her fake eyelashes. It's not even about the President's vainglorious love of the cameras.

No, no, no. It's the trust factor, honey.

When a man campaigns for the presidency as an anti-ideological moderate, a lover of bi-partisan reconciliation, and vows to regain America's foothold on the world's respect, and then after becoming president, shoots down real bi-partisan input with a petulant, "I won," governs high-handedly from the farthest-left corner of American politics, all the while playing cozy-up with America's self-proclaimed enemies and arrogantly dissing our heretofore friends, then the citizens quite naturally feel they've been sucker-punched in the gut. And being sucker-punched in the gut tends to bring out the rudeness in even the most civil people.

On the pinnacle issue of the president's domestic agenda, healthcare reform, candidate Obamapromised a completely open C-SPAN debate but instead has given Americans backroom deals and the same speech, recycled and spit out more than a hundred different ways. And the more Obama fights back against the so-called "smears," the more professional analysts jump into the verbal fray, calling him out on his own misinformation, falsehoods and crumbling credibility.

If universal healthcare proves to be the president's Waterloo, as suggested by Sen Jim DeMint (R-SC), the mushrooming ACORN scandal may yet be his Watergate. ACORN is the group that gave Barack Obama his teeth-cutting, political activist creds with their Project Vote drive in 1992. That was just the start of a blossoming, quite-close relationship between the President and ACORN.

As John Fund enumerated in the Wall Street Journal this week, Barack Obama also was a trainer for ACORN's Chicago conferences and became their lawyer in 1995, working to coerce Illinois to fully implement the federal Motor Voter Law, which was then "exploited by ACORN employees in an effort to flood voter rolls with fake names."

Barack Obama, in December 2007, announced to great community-organizer fanfare that the ACORN folks would be right beside him to "shape his agenda" for transforming America. President Obama seems to have lots of ‘splainin' to do on his ties to ACORN. What he knew, when he knew it, stuff like that.

In the realm of foreign policy, it appears that the only folks on the planet who can really trust our president are dictators, despot-wannabes and the ex-KGB honcho in Russia. It's downright worrisome when one recalls how Obama parried a 2008 question by CBS News as to whether he ever had any doubts about his foreign-policy experience. Rather than give a credible answer, the utterly-inexperienced Obama replied with the unequivocal, gallingly audacious, godlike, "NEVER."

Ousted Honduran dictator-wannabe, Zelaya, has received strident, meddling support from President Obama while the Iranian protesters risking life and limb for more freedom have gotten the cold shoulder. Poland and the Czech Republic got a big finger poke in the eye on missile defense, while Obama reaped the praises of the Russian Bear. Castro joined the cheers-to-Barack chorus Wednesday when Obama made his kumbayah-to-the-world speech at the UN. Iran is continuing her nuke plan and getting gasoline from Chavez, while Israel is having her face shoved in the mud. Obama's foreign policy is the most transparent thing about his administration.

President Obama never doubts himself or, apparently, our enemies. He saves all his doubts for the American people and our former friends around the globe. What's not to like? All the while, we dissenters are the ones who are in the President's eyes, "rude."

Oh, ye President of Thin-beyond-Thin Skin, a single, constrained shout-out of "You lie" and a few snarky posters don't even come close to the traditional incivility of the peculiar American bent.

Tar and feathers. Now, that's rude.

Burning in effigy. Now, that's real disdain .

Women in pink lingerie, with red-paint soaked hands shouting "war criminal" in your face. Now, that's uncivil.

So, again for establishment-media ninnies, when a man masquerades as an America-loving moderate to get elected and then behaves in opposite fashion, striking one loathsome thrust after another at America's gut, the resulting massive dissent isn't about the color of his skin, his little irksome habit of self-glorification or his proclivity for condescending academy-speak.

It's the trust factor, honey. Or, it's his faulty moral compass, dear. Or, it's his dishonesty, stupid. Or, it's his utter lack of integrity, idiot. Or, it's his weak character, imbecile. Or, it's his love for America-hating despots, moron.

Feel free to pick the one that makes a nice, warm, cuddly fit with your own civility preference. A disingenuous political scoundrel by any other name is the same. And civility - or lack of it -- doesn't change a thing.

I have to say this is the finest article I have read all week. I normally try not to quote whole articles, but this one is so well put-together. There is no part I could choose to leave out. What a great summary of the week's events, put in perfect context. Thank you, Kyle-Anne Shiver. Reading your words doesn't solve our country's problems, but knowing there are people out there like you who understand and care makes it easier for me to endure in the meantime.

Citizen's Petition for Redress of Grievances

Pursuant to the Constitution of the united States of America, I, William J. Turner II, submit this petition to Congress and the office of the President of the United States of America, for immediate redress of the grievances listed below. It should be noted that failure to respond to this petition, is, in and of itself a Constitutional violation.

My grievances, as a free and sovereign citizen, bound by and governed by the Constitution of the united States of America are as follows:

1. Our government no longer represents the People: Cap and Trade was passed in the House of Representatives, despite overwhelming public outcry, a violation of equal protection. The office of the President and members of Congress have stated that a health care bill will be passed, regardless of public sentiment.

2. A branch of government, not authorized by the Constitution has been established: The establishment of czars, who exercise fiduciary and regulatory control, without having been elected, vetted, or lawfully funded is in direct violation of the Constitution. Czars are in direct violation of my rights under equal protection and right to be represented by an electorate.

3. Our republic is rapidly transforming into a surrogate plutocracy—a government in which the supreme power is lodged in the hands of wealthy special interests that arrange the continual reelection of representatives who govern as their surrogates: The lack of transparency in the White House, as promised by B. Hussein Obama, in conjunction with the level of media personalities and lobbyists now in the employ of the Obama led White House are a direct violation of the presidents promises and Constitutional authority.

4. The March 2009 federal criminal complaint filed against B. Hussein Obama by retired Naval Commander, Walter Fitzpatrick III has not been investigated or heard before a federal grand jury: The commander states that B. Hussein Obama has formally changed our form of government, by his disregard for the Constitution, and, Obama has, “broken in and entered the White House by force of contrivance, concealment, conceit, dissembling, and deceit. Posing as an imposter president and commander in chief, you have stripped civilian command and control over the military establishment. Known military criminal actors – command racketeers – are now free in the exercise of military government intent upon destruction of America's constitutional government.”

5. The use of Air Force One for a photo op constitutes an immense misuse of tax payer resources by POTUS, combined with the illegal email address or data mining done by the White House under the direction and supervision of B. Hussein Obama, followed up with the spamming of American citizens constitutes a willful neglect of responsibility, fiduciary responsibility, and ethics, in that federal laws have been violated and no one has been held accountable.
6. The establishment of an email address for citizens to report other citizens dissent with B. Hussein Obama’s policies and legislation constitutes the establishment of an enemies list and is illegal.

7. President B. Hussein Obama is guilty of sedition and treason for his actions and policies, yet Congress takes no action, making them co-conspirators in this endeavor.

8. The use of the Apollo Foundation, created by one of President Obama’s Czars, an admitted Communist is not only an ethical violation, it is, in and of itself an act of sedition and treason by B. Hussein Obama.

9. The appointment of Elena Kagan to the position of Solicitor General of the united States of America is an act of sedition and treason: Kagan has called military recruiting “discriminatory,” “deeply wrong,” “unwise,” and “unjust.”

10. The firing of corporate CEO’s by POTUS, and the government interferences in and takeovers of the American auto industry and financial industry has no Constitutional authority and is illegal, seditious and indefensible.

11. Failure to hear or move from committee the Ron Paul bill, co-sponsored by over 254 other members of Congress in a willful and intention effort on behalf of the ruling party in Congress to halt legislation that is, of and for the will of the people.

12. The providing of funds to Hamas, the Palestinians and other Islamic groups who openly seek the destruction of America, is another act of sedition and treason.

13. The actions of B. Hussein Obama and Congress have led to the united States of America borrowing over five billion dollars a day: This level of debt, against the will of the people, is a direct threat to state and national sovereignty. POTUS and Congress have sworn oaths to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. By borrowing from foreign lenders, particularly foreign governments that seek the ruination of America is both seditious and treasonous.

I respectfully request that within fourteen calendar days of the receipt of this Petition For The Redress Of Grievances, that these actions cease and desist, and the united States of America be returned to a representative republic, based upon the Constitution and all lawmakers in violation of their oath, in conjunction with POTUS, be removed from their offices by Attorney General and Department of Justice, as this is an official complaint to them as well.

Liberal Democrat Pat Caddell is at a Loss for Words over Obama's Power Grab

Pat Caddell, a liberal democrat pollster, wonders who is pulling the strings in Washington. He states that Washington, D.C. has made itself an enemy of the people. He wonders how all of the thousand-page-long bills made it into submission so quickly, when most administrations are barely figuring out where the bathrooms are. How did these things pop up, all pulled together. Who wrote them. Is Obama orchestrating everything? Are other organizations orchestrating Obama? H/T RightKlik.

The Obama Hangover

According to Charlie Cook, a veteran political handicapper, the Dem situation has "slipped completely out of control."

"Many veteran Congressional election watchers, including Democratic ones, report an eerie sense of déjà vu, with a consensus forming that the chances of Democratic losses going higher than 20 seats is just as good as the chances of Democratic losses going lower than 20 seats."

Cook scrupulously avoided any mention that Democratic control of the House is in jeopardy but, noting a new Gallup poll showing Congress’ job disapproval at 70 percent among independents, concluded that the post-recess environment could feel considerably different than when Congress left in August.

Could it be? Could we be so lucky so see a different kind of congress re-assemble after August? One that moves cautiously, taking the time to carefully represent the views of their constituents? I can only hope.

But I will tell you this. For the second time today in a blog post, I have read a comment where the person said they registered Republican in the last couple of days. One is a comment on the Charlie Cook story linked to above. The other is on a web site iamsorryivotedforobama dot com. This is a fun little site and it is a happy place to spend some time reading that people are indeed changing their mind and waking up from their Kool-Aid-induced comas.

Swordless Sailors

Graduating midshipmen of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis are being told in writing to leave at home or in their vehicles all "ceremonial swords" and anything else "that might be considered a weapon or a threat by screeners" for Friday's outdoor commencement ceremonies featuring an address by President Barack Obama.
Inside the Beltway has obtained the academy's list of prohibited items for this year's graduation exercises, which, besides ceremonial swords, includes umbrellas.

From today's you couldn't make it up if you tried file.......Obama's protectors have ordered graduating Midshipmen....and I suppose Commissioned Officers through Flag rank...to leave their swords at home. Full Dress White includes "wear sword".
More to the point...those badges of office have been earned in a manner Obongo and his minions just wouldn't begin to understand.
Important traditions that inspire are kind of lost on the red banner crowd, apparently.
Further, ceremonial swords never seemed to bother the Secret Service for any previous President. And before World War II, the swords were not particularly "ceremonial", I've seen some of those blades, boarding actions did occur on the China Station pre-war against river pirates, warlords, etc.

Those swords were worn not just to graduation, but to Inaugurations, in the receiving line at the White House afterward, to the Inaugural Ball. Somehow nobody gave it a second thought. Somehow even Presidents in the past didn't presume to specify items of uniform.

But of course, what worked for Harry Truman, Ronald Reagan, F.D.R., the Bushes, T.R., any other rational non-cult leader.....doesn't work for this former state senator anointed by the Chicago machine.

Does he secretly consider our Naval and Military leaders "the enemy"?

Perhaps the message this sends escaped his handlers. Sad.
And .....follow me on this Obama and minions.....insulting. Actually it's contemptible.
