Reblogging in full a post from The Conservative Lady. I happen to think that our best bet is to spread the word about this atrocity-in-the-making before it happens again. Let's make sure the forces arrayed against Israel do not contain Americans or American companies. Please help by spreading the word about the new "flotilla" on Twitter, Facebook and on the blogs.

There are some interesting things I just came across regarding the Gaza Flotilla that was supposed to sail in May 2011 but is nowrescheduled to June.  Looks like Israel has some tricks up it's sleeve to stop it:

Shurat HaDin (SH), the Israeli Legal Center, is implementing several strategies to stop the international flotilla against Israel. One is a civil lawsuit against 14 ships set to participate in this flotilla.  A second action is Shurat HaDin's legal warning to Inmarsat that under U.S. law they will be open to charges of aiding and abetting terrorism if they provide services to these Gaza-bound ships. A third action by SH is their letter to maritime insurance companies informing them that by insuring sea vessels used by terrorists their company will be liable for any future attacks carried out by those terrorists. A civil lawsuit has been filed against 14 ships, including at least one American-registered vessel named The Audacity of Hope, that are set to participate in a reprise international flotilla against Israel.  Dr. Alan Bauer, a Harvard-educated biologist and terror victim injured in a 2002 Jerusalem bombing, is the plaintiff in this suit that was filed in Federal Court in New York City.  Read more...

Netanyahu: best 7 minutes of the day, in case you missed it

OMG, can you see the pose Obama strikes sitting there? I want the body language expert from Fox to give us the run-down on him. Legs crossed as usual in his hyper-feminine way. Obama's right hand is under his chin, looks like his middle finger is itching to reach out and scratch the side of his face as it usually does. Did you see the index finger sneak out at the end? Left elbow jutting out oddly while he grips the chair arm for dear life. This is the reaction of a fool in the presence of a real man.

Hey, Netanyahu used the word "nadir"! I know what that means, I know what that means!

When it was all said and done, Obama couldn't reach out and shake Netanyahu's hand fast enough. He could not WAIT to be outta there. I wonder why....

"Arab Spring" is all about getting Israel over a barrel

It's bad enough that Israel is surrounded by enemies who wish her destruction. It's bad enough that Obama has called for Israel to give up so much land that her width would be reduced from 45 miles to 8 miles. Now Netanyahu faces criticism from opposition within Israel for not kowtowing properly to Obama in the face of this diplomatic abuse.

Israeli opposition leader Tzipi Livni ripped Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Friday for "harming the relationship" between Israel and the U.S. after Netanyahu slammed President Obama for endorsing Palestinian statehood.
"Netanyahu spoke about consensus, and if there is a consensus in Israel, it's the relationship with the U.S. is essential to Israel, and a prime minister that harms the relationship with the U.S. over something unsubstantial is harming Israel's security and deterrence," Livni told the Jerusalem Post.

I get it. This must be why Obama was all gung ho for Mubarak to be overthrown among other uprisings. Mubarak honored prior peace agreements with Israel. If he is replaced by a radical regime, perhaps one associated with the Muslim Brotherhood and by extension Iranian mullahs, then Israel becomes more dependent on the U.S. than ever due to the real threat of war. Sensing Israel's worry, Obama of course steps in and takes advantage of her, advocating a return to pre-1967 borders, which would gut the small country of so much land as to make it impossible to defend her citizens. People who hate Israel think this would be a wonderful thing.

Thank goodness that Israelis had the good sense to elect Netanyahu after we elected Obama. They knew they would need his strength to see them through trying times and indeed they do.

I pray for the health and safety for all Israelis and urge them to remember what the Sinai Peninsula land-for-peace deal bought them. Temporary peace.

Thank you, Obama, for changing our nation.

We have changed in so many ways in the past two years.

I remember when Americans would yawn and run in the other direction when somebody brought up the topic of the national debt ceiling. No more. A vast majority of Americans are paying close attention to this issue. And I wager that the voting on this issue will have great sway in the way Americans will vote in 2012. Politicians who decide to sell out our nation's future so they don't have to deal with problems today will feel our wrath. They can laugh all the way to the unemployment line.

I remember when Americans believed that terrorism was caused by a few violent extremists, who misunderstood and perverted the religion of islam. Not so. Islamic moderates, those who are yet un-murdered by their muslim brethren, are the ones who misinterpret the Koran. Mohammed clearly states that war will be made on unbelievers unto the end of time or when islam rules all. We are fooled by taqiya (lying) no more. The 19 hijackers perfectly represented their religion. As much as it would be nice to believe otherwise. We ignore this information at our peril, as the buddhists of Thailand now know. Babies and children beheaded for being buddhist? Par for the course.

I remember when Americans thought that Israel had problems with Palestinians because they had not made enough land deals such as "land for peace". This could not be more wrong. Muslims hate Israelis because they exist. They hate all non-muslims because we exist. Giving more land to them simply weakens our defenses against them. An outcome that they favor, of course. And unwise.

I remember when Americans frowned when entering the voting booth and meekly voted for the lesser of two evils because "that's how politics works". Well no more. We must take this country back in hand. We must re-strengthen the Constitution or we will have no protection from tyranny. Our forefathers gave us a system to protect us. But only if we can keep it.

Thank you, Obama. Your breakneck attack against America, highlighted by Obamacare, an entitlement program that would weigh down an overloaded expense equation and bankrupt this nation quicker than Social Security and Medicare are already doing, woke us out of our slumber. With any luck, we will reverse the destructive course you have set for us.

Thank you, Obama. You offended our friends and cozied up to our enemies. You woke us up to the need to create our own brand of foreign diplomacy, which we do every day on the internet. Our friends know they have friends here, no thanks to you.

Thank you, Obama. You declared September 11th to be a day of national volunteerism or some such nonsense. The good people of America already do a LOT of volunteering, and we don't need you to show us how. And we also don't need you distracting us from a solemn day of remembrance of our dead and the MUSLIMS WHO DID IT.

The lie of moral equivalence

Some will say that Americans celebrating Osama Bin Laden's destruction are as bad as the dancing Palestinians of 9/11/2001. We know this is not true. Celebrating the end of a mass murderer of innocent civilians is quite different from celebrating the murder of innocents. The same people danced and passed out candy in the streets after 9/11 and after the Fogel family murders.

Please be on the lookout for news stories that try to claim moral equivalence in the middle east. A bomb sent to destroy a school bus is very much different from a bomb sent into a terrorist's hideout, or when a terrorist's home is bulldozed, after warnings are sent to the women and children to depart. Very much different and not the tit-for-tat scenario that many news outlets try to paint.

Here is an assignment.  Please tell me how the India/Pakistan conflict is even-sided.  Are India and Pakistan morally equivalent?  Or is one country trying to force the other to submit.  Submit to Islam, perhaps?  Is one country instigating terror against the other?  After finding Pakistan hiding Osama Bin Laden, there may be a reason why Indians are nodding their heads and quietly saying, "we told you so."

Can somebody explain the middle east to me?

Things have gotten confusing for me as of late.

Let's start with Egypt. Fox News calls El Baradei a "moderate leader comfortable on the world stage". Is the Muslim Brotherhood behind the protests? Is Al Baradei in the Muslim Brotherhood? Or is it a reaction of people who can no longer afford food? I saw a video with one guy saying he will die today anyway without food. Is the Muslim Brotherhood Al Quaeda? Is there a possibility that getting rid of Mubarak could NOT cause huge problems for Israel and the U.S.?

They say that Yemen is also at risk. At risk for what. Last I heard, Yemen was one of the hardest of the hard-line muslim countries. So hard line the population is virtually 100% muslim. How much worse can Yemen get?

Lebanon will fall to Iran? Will the Saudis stand for that? I don't see them giving up Lebanon without a fight. But here is where it gets tricky for me. If Iran is the worst, and the Saudis are the second worst, how come 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11/01 were Saudis. How again are they better than the Iranians as an ally? Because they let us have air bases? Doesn't this make them a two-faced enemy?

Pamela Geller raised an interesting question. If Egypt goes back on its peace agreement with Israel, does Israel get her lands back?

US Rejects Palestinian claim of no Jewish connection to Western Wall

And a Happy Hanukkah to you! It is nice to hear that the Obama administration called them out on this. All holy places need to be protected.

The United States...condemned claims by a senior Palestinian official that the Western Wall of Jerusalem's Temple Mount holds no significance for Jews.

Al-Mutawakil Taha, the Palestinian Authority' deputy minister of information, had said Wednesday that the wall, regarded as Judaism's holiest site, was part of an Islamic waqf, or religious endowment, and that only "Islamic tolerance" allowed Jews to pray there.

"We strongly condemn these comments and fully reject them as factually incorrect, insensitive and highly provocative," a U.S. State Department spokesman said.His claims drew immediate anger in Israel, which on Tuesday was echoed by the U.S.

"We have repeatedly raised with the Palestinian Authority leadership the need to consistently combat all forms of de-legitimization of Israel including denying historic Jewish connections to the land."

U.S. Forces New Massive Deployment to the Middle East

DEBKAfile's military sources report a decision by the Obama administration to boost US military strength in the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf regions in the short term with an extra air and naval strike forces and 6,000 Marine and sea combatants. Carrier Strike Group 10, headed by the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier, sails out of the US Navy base at Norfolk, Virginia Friday, May 21. On arrival, it will raise the number of US carriers off Iranian shores to two. Up until now, President Barack Obama kept just one aircraft carrier stationed off the coast of Iran, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Arabian Sea, in pursuit of his policy of diplomatic engagement with Tehran.
For the first time, too, the US force opposite Iran will be joined by a German warship, the frigate FGS Hessen, operating under American command.
It is also the first time that Obama, since taking office 14 months ago, is sending military reinforcements to the Persian Gulf. Our military sources have learned that the USS Truman is just the first element of the new buildup of US resources around Iran. It will take place over the next three months, reaching peak level in late July and early August. By then, the Pentagon plans to have at least 4 or 5 US aircraft carriers visible from Iranian shores.

This jibes with "eye witness reports from Georgia, Minnesota, Alabama, Kansas, and perhaps Texas suggest large scale mobilizations and deployment in progress for National Guard Units." As explained here.

This comes on the heels of an apparent warming attitude of the Obama administration toward Israel. Rahm Emmanuel met with 15 prominent American Rabbis on May 13th and apologized for 14 months of "screwing up the messaging". And while he admits that it will take more than one month to undo the damage of the last 14 months, they are going to try. Typical of these cowards to address their apology to Americans rather than the Israelis. But it would be nice to see a halt to the direct attacks against Israel coming from the Obama Administration.

This does not sound good. I hope that Obama's weakness does not embolden Israel's enemies. I fear it already has. :-(

Riyadh "offers airspace" for Israeli attack on Iran

Israeli fighter jets have been allowed to use Saudi airspace to launch go-it-alone air strikes on Iranian nuclear installations, says a recent report.

The issue ahs been discussed in a closed-door meeting in London, where British Intelligence Chief Sir John Scarlett his Israeli counterpart, Meir Dagan, and Saudi official have been present Daily Express.

According to the report Scarlett has been told that Saudi airspace would be at Israel's disposal should Tel Aviv decide to move forward with his military plans against Iran.

The British daily added the likelihood of an Israeli attack against Iran has increased significantly after the country announced plans to launch its second enrichment facility in the central city of Qom. More here.

The plot thickens. The most distressing news of all is the prediction, at the end of the article, that an exchange between Iran and Israel could result in 6 million dead. Does that number ring a bell? Holocaust anyone? :-( I guess the number would get higher if Iran's crazy leaders get nukes, but war is hell. Nobody can disagree with that.

Our suspicion of the US President extends to his staff, and particularly to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. It was Emanuel, the son of an Israeli father who got Obama's anti-Israel train rolling with his statement to AIPAC members in the spring that the US now links its willingness to do something against Iran's nuclear program to Israel's willingness to bar Jews from building homes in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Emanuel is widely perceived as being a self-hating Jews who is determined to prove himself to Obama by sticking it to Israel".

Note that between 6 and 12% of Israelis think that Obama is pro-Israel.

A letter from my SIL in Israel

Good for you for speaking up and writing. Unfortunately, since the 1980s, Israel has become the evil occupier in the eyes of the media. You would figure that the media would have learned something from the Iraq war. That is that the arabs don't have fair war fare. It is well known that they place stocks of ammunition and bombs in schools and where families live. They send their children across the border to blow up Israeli buses full of families. They place mines or bombs where they know children's school buses are traveling. Israel would never target children and families. But Hamas/Palestinians have been sending Katusha missiles into Israel targeting border cities where families live since Israel gave up Gaza. Was this ever in the media? Of course not!! Schools are closed in the south and families that live in major cities like Ashdod, Ashkelon and Beer Sheva have to live in bomb shelters. Regular innocent people have been killed and severely injured because of these bombs. It all comes down to what you said in your article. If Mexico would start sending bombs and hitting places like San Diego, people in the U.S. would be in an uproar. Israel has been tolerating this for years!!!! Before the Lebanon wars, Hizbullah was sending missiles also for many years till Israel had to put a foot down. Who are the protesters across Europe demonstrating? They are the arabs who need to find a scape goat for all their issues. Europe would rather them demonstrate about Israel than cause havoc like they did in Paris in violent demonstration by burning cars.

There is something wrong with the news media

You know how the news the past week has been full of stories about the bombs in Gaza? This reminded me of something Trax and I talked about when we had lunch last month.

I was asking her how things were going where she lives, in the far north of Israel. Reminding her how worried I was about her a few years ago when they were being shelled from Lebanon. She said things were OK in the north, but the southern cities were being shelled from Gaza. "Oh, yes, of course," I mumbled, trying to cover for the fact that I had not known that. A flash of irritation. Why didn't I know that. Why does our news media not find it newsworthy when Israeli cities are shelled day after day after day. Why does the United Nations not find that worthy of condemnation. But let the Israelis defend themselves, after a long period of patience, more than most any nation on Earth would show, and they are roundly condemned for shelling Gaza.

Don't search for obscure stories that I missed and tell me that there was reporting about the early shelling. I'm talking about the mainstream American media. News stories going on and on that you cannot miss, even if you are not a new hound. Because that is what is going on now. And if you are not paying attention, you might think that Israel is the bad guy. And that's not fair.

Think of what would happen if Mexico started lobbing shells at San Diego. How fair would it be if we had to sit here day after day taking it, then when we decided to defend ourselves, the world suddenly took notice and condemned us?
